2/13/2012 8:05:00 AM Changes afoot at Sedona Visual Artists' Coalition
Change is abounding at the Sedona Visual Artist's Coalition. Our website is getting a face lift.
A presentation of SVAC's new website's capabilities and advantages over the older website will be explained by web designer Ron Chilston (Jerome Photos). This platform is especially beneficial in the arena of promoting member artists' events as well as SVAC's in today's changing social media environment. The presentation will take place at SVAC's regular Member Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. at Keep Sedona Beautiful, 360 Brewer Rd. A pot luck dinner will be held at 6 p.m.
In addition to a brand new look, the site will feature a blog where artistic discussion and ideas can be expressed and exchanged. SVAC member art work will be front and center on the home page with a rotating slide show along with showcasing artist work on specific artist web pages.
The SVAC website is just one of the many perks of being a member in the Sedona Visual Artists' Coalition, an inclusive organization that nurtures the artistic vision of all artists.
SVAC is also excited to introduce a change to our annual Open Studios Tour. We are proud to present the first Open Studios Season which will begin with a kick-off weekend, May 5th and 6th and will run through the end of December 2012. Approximately 30 SVAC artists will be participating in this inaugural event with many new members showcasing their works in a wide variety of mediums. Various artists will have their studios open during this eight month season and most will be available by appointment so that visitors and locals alike can plan their own personal studio tours.
SVAC's annual fall show will once again be at the beautiful Tlaquepaque from Nov. 6-17.
If you are an artist, or a lover of the arts, please consider joining this exciting network of Sedona and Verde Valley artists.
